Hiroshima faces the Seto Inland Sea, so winters are mostly sunny with little snow. The rainy season runs from early June to mid July, and July is the wettest month. August is the hottest but the Inland Sea area tends to be dry. In autumn tropical cyclones affect the weather, and October is clear and fresh. Many people combine the Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima in a day, so fix Miyajima on the best-weather day first. The Sea of Japan side gets heavy snow, so do not go north on city weather alone.
