Busan weather by month
2006-2025, 20 years of records · Not a forecast
Busan has milder winters than most of Korea and snow is rare, but the air is very dry and the sea wind is strong, so clear days still feel cold. Spring rain is more frequent than many visitors expect. The rainy season (jangma) on the south coast usually runs from late June to late July, and July is the wettest month.
August and September are typhoon season. Busan is among the Korean cities most often hit, and both Maemi (2003) and Hinnamnor (2022) came in September. The sea is warmest in August and September. From October the sky clears and the humidity drops, which is why the film festival and the fireworks fall in autumn.
May, June and October scored best when warmth and rain days were weighed together. Rain clustered in July (up to 10 rain days) and fell to 3 rain days in January.
