Seoul in November:
crisp and chilly, rain here and there

After the mountain colours fade, the ginkgo trees along city streets turn yellow a little later. It gets much colder than October, and by the end of the month you need a heavy coat. Seoul's first snow normally comes in late November, and it only counts once an observer at the Seoul weather station in Jongno sees it fall.

A cool month: highs of 12°C, lows of 4°C. Sweaters came out of the suitcase and mostly stayed on. Showers came now and then, about 6 rain days in all, and most of the month stayed dry. Counts moved moderately between years: 2 in 2025, 12 in 2015.

Days were short. Daylight shrank from 10.6 to 9.8 hours across the month, so plan outdoor sights early. Frost touched 8 nights of the month on average, enough to glaze puddles and shaded steps at first light. The warmest year was 2011, with highs averaging 15.0°C, 2.7°C above normal. The lowest night on record was −7°C in 2013.
